‘Luck is when preparation meets opportunity’
I remember this line from the movie ‘little black book’ (starring Brittany Murphy) where she was taught by her mom the principle of how you can achieve a good luck.
200M is up for grabs today. Hmm.. A perfect opportunity (assuming!).. Since we’re already having breakfast at chowking, I bought a fortune cookie (a very traditional way of preparing your luck). What I’ve found underneath the 6 lucky numbers:
Only a life lived in the service of others is worth living
A world peace in the making! I will definitely practice that if I got a million, that I sure will! So I went and bought lotto tickets feeling lucky.. Wish me luck!

While I was watching my nephew watching blues clues, I wonder whatever happened to Steve (‘coz we were currently watching the episode when Steve introduce Joe to Blue). I’ve heard rumors about steve being depressed and have dreadfully committed.. suicide.
Time for blue’s clues, don’t you think? But I don’t need a handy dandy notebook. I just searched for clues through the ever resourceful mr.google and found out that Steve have denied that he have committed suicide. He decided to pursue his dream and become a rockstar which is far from being the owner of Blues.
Here he is now. Click on him to know more of his whereabouts:

We have no place to go so we hang out at Time Zone and thought we stay there until it closes. We never thought that it will be opened up until 1 AM. Redbox and Timezone, along with other restos located at the park in Trinoma mall, are still open after midnight.
So we make the most out of it.. dance Freak, basketball, videoke.. all yours.. everything’s readily available.. how sweet!

I just watched Samurai X and this would now be my favorite anime ever.. that I sure would! I loved the anime so much that it almost turns me to Japanese! (I found myself singing its ending theme song in Japanese! and found myself researching on wikipedia about Tokugawa shogunate, Shinsengumi, Kyoto, Imperialism!)
I watched all the 95 episodes in the series and the OVA’s, but what I liked best is the movie Samurai X: Trust & Betrayal because..
- of its bittersweet love story
- because of the beautiful script
- because of the boring and yet sexy voice of Tomoe
- because of the wise and poetic philosophy of Hiko Seijuro
- and because of the amazing stunts of Kenshin in battosai mode (oh how I loved those battosai eyes!)
The story starts with a boy named Shinta who was taken by slave traders. While travelling, the group was attacked by bandits and all were killed except for Shinta who was saved by Hiko Seijuro. Seijuro saw the regret on Shinta for not being able to save the people he has with. So he chose him to become his apprentice and taught him the sword art Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu (which teaches the principle of a sword that protects). He also change Shinta’s name to Kenshin (which means heart of sword).
